Building a Content Calendar That Actually Works
2026-05-16
Most content calendars fail within a month. Not because the creator is lazy, but because the calendar is unrealistic. Here's how to build one you'll actually stick to.
Start with capacity, not ambition: If you can realistically create 3 posts per week, plan for 3. Not 7. Consistency beats intensity.
Theme your days: "Motivation Monday," "Tutorial Tuesday," "Behind-the-Scenes Wednesday." Themes reduce decision fatigue.
Batch create: Dedicate one day to writing, one to filming, one to editing. Context switching kills productivity.
Use AI for gaps: When inspiration runs dry, use AI to generate ideas, drafts, and captions. A half-finished AI draft is easier to edit than a blank page.
Review monthly: What's working? Double down. What's flopping? Cut it. Your calendar should evolve.
A content calendar is a tool, not a prison. Build it around your life, not the other way around.
